Sanjay Dutt’s new film has been titled The Bhootnii. It will be released in theatres on April 18. The supernatural-horror film has been written and directed by Siddhant Sachdev and also stars Mouni Roy, Sunny Singh, Palak Tiwari, Aasif Khan and debutant Nick in pivotal roles. Its teaser was unveiled by the makers on Wednesday on the occasion of Mahashivratri.
The teaser opens with a voiceover of Sanjay as he quotes a line in Sanskrit from the Bhagvad Geeta. There are visuals of a ghost, played by Mouni. The film is set against a love story that turns fatal, invoking the rage of the ghost. Sanjay is seen fighting the ghost with swords and wearing a stylish black suit.
Sharing the teaser, Sanjay wrote, “This Good Friday, fear gets a new date—Friday the 18th! Get ready for horror, action, and comedy like never before! The Bhootnii machayegi taandav in cinemas on April 18th!”
The film is produced by Deepak Mukut and Sanjay.
Sanjay was last seen in the Telugu film Double iSmart. He also starred in the Hindi romantic-comedy Ghudchadi, which released on JioCinema last year.
